David Brim – Bio

David Brim is the CEO and founder of Brand Advance, a creative marketing agency based in Orlando, Fla. Since 2009, Brand Advance has helped hundreds of companies, spanning a variety of industries, grow their business through internet marketing, branding, advertising and technology.

A graduate of the University of Central Florida, where he majored in marketing, David is the only two-time winner of the school’s Joust Business Plan Competition and was also a finalist in the in the Sunshine State Venture Challenge in Cocoa Beach and the Nascent 500 Business Challenge in Indianapolis.

Prior to founding Brand Advance, David helped start and manage the premium blogger and influencer program at IZEA, a top social media marketing company. In that position he helped plan, execute and measure social media campaigns and connected online influencers with well-known brands such as SeaWorld, Kmart, Microsoft, British Airways, Armani-Exchange and more. During that time David also co-founded GroupTable, a collaboration software that had 10,000 users around the world at time of exit.

David has been involved in many early stage ventures and has expertise in marketing strategy, online lead generation and business model development.  He has been featured in one of the most popular entrepreneurship textbooks Successfully Launching New Ventures and has been interviewed on Fox, ABC and CBS about topics such as entrepreneurship and internet marketing. A guest blogger for Copyblogger, one of the top marketing blogs, David has spoken at the Disney Entrepreneurship Center, Invention 2 Venture and Junior Achievement’s CEO Bootcamp, just to name a few.

David is also an active investor focusing on real estate and early stage companies. He is a commercial real estate investment partner at Results Real Estate Partners, and recently founded GoingUp Ventures, an investment firm that invests marketing services, expertise and capital into early stage companies in exchange for equity.

He’s also actively involved in Economic Gardening, an entrepreneurial approach to economic development and job creation focusing on helping second stage companies grow. In 2010 Brand Advance was selected as the Internet marketing strategy arm of the State of Florida’s Economic Gardening program “GrowFL.” Since then, Brand Advance has also been selected to work with the National Economic Gardening Institute and David has worked with companies in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Kansas, Arizona, and other states.

When he’s not working David enjoys playing basketball, fishing, traveling, self-improvement, mentoring and spending time with his wife Lindsay and golden retriever Jackson.
