Facebook Surpasses 300 Million Users- Now Cash Flow Positive
A few days ago Facebook announced that they hit 300 million users and they are now cash flow positive.
Other interesting facts:
- More than 2 billion photos uploaded to the site each month
- More than 14 million videos uploaded each month
- More than 2 billion pieces of content (web links, news stories, blog posts, notes, photos, etc.) shared each week
- More than 3 million events created each month
- More than 45 million active user groups exist on the site
According to a Facebook statement, “Reaching 300 million users is an important milestone, but we feel like we are just getting started. Along with the company’s user growth, Facebook’s financial strength continues to grow even in a really tough economic climate.”

so facebook is really addicting. ill look at people’s profiles — people i hate, people i like, and go through their pictures and wall-to-walls for hours on end… i’ll go take pointless quizzes and add those stupid facebook applications….
i could go dance, or go to the gym, or read a book or do housework, but i choose to do this…the only things that surpass facebook stalking are if i have to go somewhere or meet up with friends or a good movie’s on tv….
maybe in another year or two. facebook kind of passed myspace after 3 years ish….who knows. maybe for my generation we’ll stop at facebook and another will like the new one the best.

facebook is really a great community of users. now it have approx 300 Million Users…
myspace is more socialable and fun, wheras facebook has more people on the UK so more likely to find friends there and has some better programs to use. depends on what you want . i prefer both. simple…..

I Think that Every once in a while I discover a typo or other error in my Facebook status update and delete it from my wall after rewriting it correctly.
Wow, 300 million users is amazing. It is also amazing that it took that many users to make them cash flow positive. I guess that just goes to show how much advertising goes into making a site so popular.
What sites will surpass or replace facebook?
I would recomend reading a book because you will feel beter aftewords…. unless you are one of those farmvillers……
